A september's evening

How emotional is jojo... our both BMW's were traded in today to BMW for a new 323i. I was in tears for that for days! Well, since our silver horse is the queen and the white baby is the King, so that would make our 323i the young white prince. :) So that non of them gets replaced, at least they'll never get replaced in Jojo's heart. Mom said, if Jojo was this emotional and cried a swimming pool full of tears just 'cos we sold the 2 bmw's, imagine selling my clio? will I cry a whole ocean of tears? :( I hope that day will never arrive.

On this lovely evening, although emotional, my mom is preparing supper for herself, myself, my brother, Friend Betty, dad and Turbo. :) The cars have obviously already been fed. Heh. How blessed is the jojo? but it's the last night I will see my dad this year :(

Cherrishing this moment. :) Later onwards, gonna have a good peaceful drive back to Germinston. What a lovely evening.

Jojo's weekend

So spring has arrived and the air is getting warmer and it's time for jojo to heat up alittle! Worked with my lovely shift 3 this weekend and it was fantastic! I have never felt like I belong to an ambulance crew and I have never felt this attached to my shift in my life! Well at least not after I've lost Henerik from Shift 1. My ambulance crew gave me Tswana name, "Mathapelo" - meaning a "Lady Prayer". They said the jojo is a guide and motivation to them as paramedics and her passion affects all. Mathapelo is the perfect name for jojo 'cos it's the closest word they could think of to Angels. :) Sweet hey?

Very very cold, I can feel the winter approaching... very quickly!!~ Jojo had to wash a helicopter in -2 degrees the other morning. Very brave! haha. Happy Winter Jojo!!~

My boss said he's gonna send me on Advanced helicopter and engine courses this year. Wow, even if he was just bluffing, I love the thought of him even thinking about wanting to send me there. Yes please! Without the two courses I will not be able to get my helicopter license at all!

There was the biggest mistake I've made in my aviation career. My Tail Rotor Push pull tube was not in the guide of the tail boom where it was supposed to be, so the whole tube was chaffing against the tail rotor drive shaft. But luckily, the aircraft still flew safely with no one hurt for 96 hours. Thanks to the universe!!~

Jojo's tummy...

Jojo's tummy hasn't been the happiest buddy ever since yesterday. I vomitted every food every drink that I put in it. Must be honest though, haven't been treating it well at all lately. I tend to ignore my body and she's trying to tell me something important, especially when Jojo is extremely busy. Oh well, all the best for Jojo body!

Jojo's past two weeks...

Hum.. let's see, I've been working for the past full two weeks without a day off. So Many helicopters went flying too 'cos we had a couple of Engineers working on the weekend. The team and I made sure ZS-OFJ, call sign "Matrix One" flew the previous weekend. It was fantastic that she flew this beautifully. Some Engineers put out the fire for me when I'm on fire, but some Engineers rather throw parafine at me and watch me burn. I have made the biggest mistake on a helicopter the other day. Worse feeling I could possibly experience. Just having the thought that my pilots and helicopter almost lost Tail Rotor because of me. I have a warning form coming... It's not gonna be good. Yet how can some one this passionate about helicopters and her work make such an obvious and stupid mistake?
Engineers are my team, I hold them extremely close to my heart. My favourite one, a well respected Engineer of mine said to me "Just 'cos you're batting ur eyelids it doesn't mean you can get away with alot of things. Honeymoon is over for you."
Ouch - extremely sore when u hear it from ur favourite Engineer. I don't bat my eyes to get to places, nor do I step on others to go higher, just didn't know that this is what he saw in me. Honeymoon? Was I ever on honeymoon? I don't work any less harder than any of the Engineers in the hangar. What a week!

Jojo's 16th of Feb 2007

Woke up in the morning wanting to sort out all my documents for my Intermediate Life Support Course this year, "never give up" type of inspiration. But After the rough day where nothing went right, I kinda gave up.
Wanted to get my ILS stuff certified - the oak that does the certification wasn't there for the weekend.
Wanted to go to the police station to get it certified, found out my driver's license is gone in my wallet. Great, loss of driver's license is a huge problem in our great slow low effciency "South Africa". Spent basically the whole day getting documents ready and spent a shit load of money in pay taking ID photos just to get my driver's license "reprinted", but to South Africans, printing a tiny little card is a MAGNIFICINT HUGE PROCESS.Drove all the way to Cullinan for drivers, 'cos centurion has a huge cue up to my sister's house in flipp'n Asia in 33 degrees sun! Cullinan was the easy way out. But guess what, had to do an eye test which Jojo could not see any of the "E"s that they showed me. I asked, "Is it just me, or is the "E" incredibly small?" the lady answered, "It's just your eyes, Ma'm" haha.... I didn't have glasses with me, they sent me kindly back to flippn Pretoria. What a nice day. Then went to the eye doctor, bumped the crap outta Jojo's right eye that I forgot for a moment what my name was 'cos it was unbelievebly sore. BMW's door is definately test proved "Very Strong".

What a day, documents even cut me on the finger!!~ How outta luck can someone get!!~
Oh well, u can have luck with u all the time, can ya!?

South African Crimes

My mood is completely ruined by the Rigel avenue Intersection hijackings. Jojo was in a peaceful dreams until she was woken up by the continuous gunshot sounds at 3 o'clock in the morning. The gun shots were taken place not so far from us, less than 6kms away from Jojo's home. Then 2 min after that I heard helicopters flying around hunting for the hijackers. Very scary. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that heard the gun shot. Probably the whole neighbourhood woke up! South africa... such a goreous country with high potential people here and filled with amazing dreams. Yet, with such high inhumane crimes happening. How many good people are we gonna still loose in this country? Until our lovely Mbeki start taking crime seriously?

Jojo's new year...Operation!!~

I think... if I'm not mistaken, the chinese new year is coming up in a week's time? I need a set of jumper cables to restart jojo again. I went in for a haemorrage operation last Monday. It was extremely sore. Pain killers helped nothing, with worse, it made u feel drousy. Yuk!~ But anyway Jojo is on the road to recovery.

My little pipe band that I had to unfortunately walk away from in high school due to transport problems. I had to stop all my lessons. The saddest part of my high school career was leaving the band, couldn't learn together with them, but to see them become more advanced and performing without me. Jojo went back to her high school today to ask to join the senior band. They train x-students from our high school and keep them performing for the school. The tutor said he will train the band for free but the band will have to play as the school's name. ^_^

Alternator Belt change

Can u believe, to change an alternator belt, you have to almost take out the whole airframe parts to get to the belt. What a silly design, but I love my Robbies anyway. ^_^ Here's me and Petros!!
