Hello to myself 7 months ago and hello to myself now, and hello to everyone who reads my blog.
And don't think for a second that i've forgotten about you, never. I miss you alot, I miss coming home to SA. I don't think I've taken any second for granted when I lived there. Everything was and still is precious to me...
SA tought me how to live, how to not take any time and anything for granted. I'm not taking any of my time for granted here in Taiwan - Because I still feel like a little Mustang, just what my friends described me as, "A Mustang with no owner, completely wild and free, travels anywhere she wants to be and stops to rest and to find her peace"
i'm still doing that. Who knows how long I'll last in Taiwan. But NOW, I love every moment of it.
Can't believe it's been 7 months now since i've left. Time really flies! I've started at Royal Pacific Airways about 4 months ago. It really is a new challenge for me, I've always wanted to travel with my helicopters on trips, wherever they're, that's where I want to be, and working on Emergency medical helicopters... Royal Pacific Airways can give me both. They have Medical doctors and Paramedics onboard the chopper and I'm the Engineer that travels around with the entire team. The Directors and managers of this company are very suprised to have a "Taiwanese South african" female aircraft engineer onboard. They said they have never met a female engineer in their lives and certainly not a south african. They're very happy with the way I always look after my helicopters and i'm getting recognition and compliments everywhere i go. It's not easy though, to maintain that image and to continue performing well, because I'm also human, I make mistakes and learn from it, although I'm always willing to learn more, but i'm hoping to make as little mistakes as possible. As for being a paramedic, I'm living in Taipei, the capital city and the heart of Taiwan (like Jo-burg), i work as a volunteer medic for the First Fire and Rescue team of Taipei. What awesome experiences am I getting there! I still get many days off where i just park and do nothing - be the laziest girl on the planet.
I Miss NAC Helicopters though... What a kickass team.
Like today, sending my helicopter off for some charter flights, i was waiting for him to land, while I was lying on the grass field looking up to the blue sky enjoying the winter sun (I've always loved that), i felt peace, complete peace and freedom - not scared of anyone or anything. It felt good, i haven't felt like that since SA's crime's gone out of hand.
I'm currently discovering the world... maybe travelling to Canada soon, my dad is doing very well there in Canada (started enlarging his company that side). He said if I dont like here in Taiwan, I can always join him there in Canada. He comes back every 2 weeks to Taiwan.
You know, you meet people in life as you carry on and you realised that they're precious and they're not going to be there forever, so cherish everyone of them when they're with you, alive and well.

God's listening
Why should I feel alone?? When someone so important is listening to me when I'm feeling the most happiest and saddest time of my life? I should feel loved by the Lord for he is patiently listening. I don't need to say what I need, he knows what I need.
Amen - happy happy october 2008.
